Have you heard the news? Our calls to repeal the MTA Payroll Tax have led to change!
Albany realized that the Hudson Valley cannot bear the burden of the MTA’s mismanagement, and the MTA Payroll Tax has been repealed for 80% of taxpayers, plus libraries, municipalities, and some schools. And in August, the New York State Supreme Court ruled that the MTA Payroll Tax was unconstitutional.
However, Senator Ball’s work it not done on this issue! He will continue to fight for a full repeal of the MTA Payroll Tax and he is calling for a forensic audit of the MTA accounting practices, and a retroactive refund of all MTA Payroll Taxes collected from employers since 2009.
